It is with great excitement that we announce that Lakeside has been recognized as one of the 100 Best Workplaces in Canada.
The list produced each year by the Great Place to Work Institute®, evaluates the top companies in Canada based primarily on their level of trust, pride, credibility, fairness, respect, and camaraderie. Each organization is assessed using two basic methods; their employees’ responses to the Trust Index®, an employee survey developed specifically for the Best Workplaces list and through a comprehensive best practice evaluation.
Lakeside was ranked 22nd amongst companies such as Google Canada and Disney Online Studios. The official list, featured in the April 12, 2011 edition of the Globe and Mail, highlights Lakeside’s 2010 Total Health Challenge, a companywide health initiative that resulted in participating Lakeside employees losing a total of 830 pounds and 374 inches over a 26-week period.
“Winning this award was truly a collective effort,” said Greg Houston, president of Lakeside Process Controls. “It is the attitude, hard work and the dedication of our organization that defines our culture and makes us a great place to work!”
Some of Lakeside’s other company efforts include, flexible hours to accommodate employees and companywide emphasis on
community involvement.
