The Crosby HSJ safety valve is a full nozzle, reaction-type valve engineered for saturated and superheated steam applications, including use on drums, superheater outlets, reheater inlets and outlets, and economizers. It features the FLEXI-DISC® seat design, which enhances sealing performance by allowing pressure and temperature equalization across the seat, ensuring a flat, tight seal. Full Nozzle Reaction-Type Valve

The Crosby HSL safety valve by Emerson is a full nozzle, reaction-type valve specifically designed for saturated and superheated steam applications. It supports set pressures up to 725 psig (50 barg) and temperatures as high as 1000°F (538°C), making it suitable for demanding steam service environments. Certified under ASME Code Section I and VIII, the HSL valve features the Crosby FLEXI-DISC® design, which ensures a tight seal and precise opening at set pressure, even after repeated use. Its simple, robust construction allows for easy maintenance, and it includes options like test gags, weather hoods, and drip pan elbows. The valve’s single bonnet design enables pressure adjustments without replacing internal components, enhancing operational flexibility and reducing downtime.
