Since 2013, Lakeside has served as a strategic partner to a leading pulp and paper facility in Ontario, supporting a long-term steam strategy focused on replacing aging and unreliable boiler assets. As part of this initiative, Lakeside provided expert guidance during the boiler selection process, helping the facility identify and procure the optimal system for its operational needs.
Drawing on deep expertise in boiler fuel trains and controls upgrades, Lakeside led the system design and construction, culminating in the delivery of a fully integrated 250,000 lb/hr steam boiler system through a comprehensive turnkey approach. The project involved close collaboration with engineering and construction partners, demonstrating adaptability to evolving site conditions and customer requirements.

Scope of work included engineered design, mechanical skid fabrication, field-erected piping, BMS/CCS development, programming, and full commissioning. Key components—such as the fuel train, economizer, blowdown system, and steam vent silencer—were expertly installed, with piping systems optimized for integrity, accessibility, and maintainability. The system was commissioned seamlessly into plant operations, and the entire project was completed in just nine months. This effort highlights Lakeside’s ability to reduce construction risk, lower costs, and deliver high-performance steam systems from concept to completion.
