Lakeside Continues Support for Community Healthcare Through Walk for Health

Reliable local healthcare brings strength and stability to the communities and industries we serve.

On June 7, Lakeside employees participated in the Hazel McCallion Walk for Health for the second consecutive year. The annual event brings together community members, healthcare professionals, sponsors, and more to raise funds for Trillium Health Partners. This year’s initiative supports major healthcare expansion projects, including Canada’s largest hospital, the Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, the Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children, and the redevelopment of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre. These projects are designed to expand capacity, improve specialized care, and support long-term regional healthcare needs.

Our dedicated Lakers and team captains actively participated in the walk while coordinating internal fundraising efforts across our organization. Special thanks to our captains: Paul Coria, Meena Patel and Asad Tariq. Together, Lakeside contributed $5,764 in support, and The Hazel McCallion Walk for Health has raised $720,000!

Access to reliable healthcare directly impacts safety and long term performance, and these future investments in regional healthcare infrastructure help sustain both community well being and future generations to come.
