This seminar will include discussions and presentations on the latest Flow Measurement Technologies, the best practices in applying them and their advantages. This knowledge will help improve the efficiency of your process and reduce wastage, all while keeping flow instrumentation running at peak performance.

Get hands-on with flow meters! Interact with products firsthand at our tabletop stations. Our subject matter experts will be around to answer your questions.

In this one-day event, you will learn:

  • The fundamentals of various flow meter technologies
  • How to select the correct technology for your application
  • How to improve repeatability and accuracy
  • Best practices for installation
  • Best practices for specific applications

Agenda

There will be three concurrent presentations occurring across 5 different time slots so you can choose which topic interests you the most.
Learn about the basics of flow measurement and instrumentation including common terminology, fluid properties, instrument selection and installation requirements.
Learn about the theory of operation of FLEXIM Clamp-on Ultrasonic flowmeters, the advantages of measuring outside of the pipe, the wide range of use cases and the best practices for installation.
Learn about the theory of operation of Coriolis flowmeters, why you should choose mass flow over volume flow, the advantages of Coriolis flowmeters in entrained gas applications and hear about the latest updates with Micro Motion’s transmitters and flowmeters
Hear about the theory of operation of DP flowmeters, how to select DP flow elements, traditional DP vs fully compensated flowmeters and how achieve the best performance with differential pressure flowmeters.
Find out about how magnetic flowmeters work, the best practices for installation, how to handle high process noise applications like slurry and the latest diagnostic tools available in Rosemount’s Advanced Diagnostics Suite.
Learn about the Von Karman effect and how vortex flowmeters work, their advantages and limitations, and how to size and select a vortex flowmeter for your application.
Learn about some of the challenges we face when trying to measure hydrogen gas flows and how Coriolis flowmeters are uniquely suited to face those challenges.
Learn about the challenges of measuring flow in two phase applications, how two phase flow affects various flow meters and what to consider when selecting a flow measurement technology for these applications
Find out the theory of operation of Rosemount’s inline ultrasonic flowmeters, and the best practices for sizing, selection and installation.
Learn about how Micro Motion’s Smart Meter Verification Technology available in both Mags and Coriolis flowmeters and Advanced Meter Verification available in Flexim Ultrasonic Flowmeters can help reduce downtime and increase the time between calibrations.
